Samsung Rio for the 2016 Olympics, and the company plans to launch a smartphone to celebrate this event.

Rumors about the smartphone have been circulating for quite some time, and a few days ago, Samsung finally announced the device officially.
The Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition will be available on July 18.
Samsung's involvement in the Olympics dates back to 1988, when the company was a local sponsor of the Seoul Olympics. Since then, Samsung has been involved in various sporting events and will continue to be a sponsor, even during Tokyo 2020.
The company plans to give away 12,500 Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition , along with Gear IconX to all Rio Olympians.
The smartphone will have a color scheme that includes the five official colors of the Olympic Rings.
Olympians will not be the only ones who will get access to the special edition, Samsung will release 2,016 Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition smartphones in the markets of Brazil, the US, China, Germany and Korea.
The smartphone will go on sale on July 18, 2016.
The specifications of the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition are the same as the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Namely, the phone will have a curved 5.5-inch Super AMOLED QHD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It will also have a 3600mAh battery and the camera will be 12MP.
