You can now get your own ASUS robot butler for $599
ASUS' Zenbo aims to bring you a robot that can transform into your very own personal butler, so you can feel like Bruce Wayne, and Zenbo can even be a surrogate parent with loads of electrical circuitry inside! There are many ways the robot can function, such as responding to expressions of curiosity or helping its owners log in to websites, taking photos, and more.
It can also help you log in to your accounts, but considering the numerous security issues plaguing the world right now, it might be best not to let the robot know any of your login credentials. Most home assistants ranging from the Amazon Echo to the Google Home are capable of performing tasks that can help reduce the burden on humans. However, ASUS' Zenbo could also have been built so that humans can truly bond with the robot, rather than just communicating with it to complete tasks.
According to this, there is a high possibility that the robot will be able to offer more options for us than these assistants, which will be the primary selling point of the robot. Communication is going to be key here and beyond completing a large list of tasks, Zenbo will also be able to play the role of a parental substitute when the real parents are not at home. It will be able to do this by reading fairy tales to the children, playing music and acting as a teacher.
ASUS didn't mention when we can actually see the Zenbo in action, but luckily, the company was able to give us its price so we can save money until then.
