David Eisman is a 16-year-old high school student and the founder and CEO of the video game company, Pixelman Productions, which was created in January.
He's not your typical kid who knows about programming. In fact, he's barely a programmer (he only knows a little C#). He calls himself an entrepreneur!
But this didn't stop him from following his dream, namely to work in the video game industry.
“I always wanted an internship at a video game company but no one would ever hire me. They told me I needed experience and that I had to have created a video game already. So I decided to skip that step of trying to get into a company and go straight to building my own.”
Eisman also has a famous dad, mutual fund manager Steve Eisman, played by Steve Carell in the movie “The Big Short.” Having a wealthy father meant he had access to a lot of free advice on how to work and manage people, but not cash. His father did not invest in his company.

“So I went online. I went to every video game site and forum and started posting ads,” the 16-year-old said. The job ads said a new video game company was starting up and that employees would be paid through revenue sharing.
Many people called him crazy, but he received 30 applications and ended up hiring 12 so far. “I’ve hired 2 programmers, artists, a writer, a marketing team from Poland, and two music composers so far. The youngest is 18 and the oldest is 35, from Pakistan. It’s an international team. My father helped me with the contracts.”
The team has already started working on their first video game, which will be called Mirka. You can watch the trailer here:

But this game is not Eisman's ultimate goal. His big dream is to integrate video games into education and work. We hope he succeeds!
