A white hat hacker revealed a serious vulnerability in Mr. Robot's website on Tuesday ! It seems that the man who teaches the world about the dangers of hacking is himself vulnerable to such attacks.

The hacker using the alias Zemnmez found the flaw in the new website of Mr. Robot, the series that enjoys success worldwide. Zemnmez says that the vulnerability easily deceives fans of the series who visit the website and makes them give many details of their Facebook account. The hacker stated that after a quick update to the creator of Mr. Robot, Sam Esmail, the problem was fixed by the administrators.
The website in question, whoismrrobot.com , had a serious vulnerability called a cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw. Zemnmez discovered the flaw the same day the first promo for the second season of the series, which will air on July 13, was released.

The launch of this promo was quite impressive with a hacked voice over video of President Obama condemning a devastating attack launched on the US financial system (https://www.whoismrrobot.com/fivenine) and the website whoismrrobot.com, which mimics a combination of Linux command line and IRC chat.
Mr. Robot has been praised by many because, unlike many movies that portray hackers as nerds or as superhuman beings who can do everything with a click, the series depicts hacking with great accuracy and that is what makes it interesting.
