Through an impressive 360-degree video (with the ability to navigate within it as it is played!) NASA offers you the opportunity to travel and explore the surface of the "red planet".
We also tried the brand new 360 Degree Mars Panoramic Viewer and we believe it is exactly what you need if you also want to travel to the distant planet Mars… No, you don't need a spaceship, all you need is your mobile device ; ) …So?
A try will convince you! (Tip: Choose full screen view for the best possible browsing experience).
The impressive virtual tour video has been composed of 52 different video shots, taken through the onboard camera of the robotic vehicle, Curiosity, which has been exploring Gale Crater on Mars as part of NASA's Mars Science Laboratory mission (MSL) since 2011.
This innovative type of video allows you to see on your screen what you would actually see if you were sitting on the red planet. By viewing the video through the Facebook app on your mobile, you will be able to rotate your device to change the viewing angle, enjoying a full 360-degree virtual tour experience, from where the robotic vehicle is located.
You can find the impressive video on Curiosity's Facebook page and watch it via your mobile: https://www.facebook.com/MarsCuriosity/videos.
