A Facebook page in support of Yanis Varoufakis was opened by supporters of the Finance Minister and named it V for Varoufakis, inspired of course by the well-known and widely read comic book V for Vendetta.
The page was created last Saturday and to date it already has 10,828 likes!
"The V for Varoufakis page was created as a movement to support the effort to break free from austerity, expressed mainly by the new Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis. We believe that the negotiation requires people who can stand up to the circumstances, treating the lenders as real partners and not as those to whom we owe servitude. SPREAD IT!", states a post by the page's administrators.
On the occasion of the fact that the page reached 10,000 likes, the following message was also uploaded: "We gathered 10,000 people in almost a day and the number is constantly increasing. United, Greeks, we have always succeeded. We continue..".
