After forecasting losses of $1.7 billion, with the Playstation 4 remaining profitable, Sony has decided to manufacture fewer televisions and mobile phones.

Although the company has created notable mobile devices, it appears that it has not found its place in this market, resulting in the Sony Mobile division being expected to incur losses of 1.7 billion dollars in the upcoming March, at the close of the fiscal year.
In July, Sony announced that it had made significant profits, mainly due to the PlayStation 4, while its smartphone division was still loss-making, with a loss of 487 million each year.
Meanwhile, the television sector seems to be doing particularly poorly and now the company is targeting the profitable PS4, which has already shipped 13,5 million consoles to resellers and continues to have the upper hand in sales in the gaming sector.
With the new strategy, Sony will abandon its plans to compete with other companies aiming to increase its market share, but will manufacture a smaller number of devices that will generate profits, even if sales drop by 30%.
Finally, the company is working on the new PlayStation Vue platform, a Netflix, from which there is an expectation of profits.
