Surely anyone who has an iPhone has noticed that the battery is not its strong point!
Especially in this day and age when we want to be connected to the Internet constantly, we all want a mobile phone with a long-lasting battery, but unfortunately for most of us, it only lasts 10 hours at most.
As for the iPhone's battery, we could describe it as mediocre at best and it naturally gets worse over time. Only the iPhone 6 Plus and 6S Plus have good battery life.
But there are some ways you can give your favorite cell phone a little more life:
1. Boosting your battery should definitely start with charging. You may have been told that you should let your battery run down completely and then charge it to 100%. But that's a myth. To make sure your battery lasts longer, you shouldn't let it drop below 20% and charge it between 40 and 80%. This is generally true for lithium batteries used in mobile phones.
2. In iOS 9 there is a new feature called 'Low Power mode'. It is automatically activated when the battery is below 20% but you can also activate it whenever you want from the settings in the Battery category. Many apps are disabled with this feature but your battery life is doubled
3. Location services on iPhone consume a lot of battery! Whenever possible, you should not let apps try to determine your location. Facebook and Google Search in particular do this a lot.
4. To see which apps are draining your battery, go to Settings > General > Battery. There you'll find all your battery usage statistics and it also gives you suggestions for better usage.
5. You should always have auto-brightness enabled on your iPhone. You can use the control center and lower the screen brightness from there, or go to the display settings and choose the level you want for auto-brightness
6. Some apps like Facebook, Mail, Messenger, and WhatsApp are known to be battery drainers. You could go to settings under background app refresh and disable it for these apps. Trust us, you will see a difference in your battery life.
7. Many users don't realize it, but the auto-lock is often set to happen after a minute. You should set it to happen in less than 1 minute. Not only is it good for the security of your data, but it's also good for your battery.
8. One of the reasons why iPhone battery life is not good in some countries like India is the network. When the signal is not good the phone and the antennas work more so the battery runs out faster. On the other hand if you are somewhere with strong Wi-Fi you can select Flight Mode and leave Wi-Fi and useful apps like Whatsapp will work. And you will continue to communicate with those you want and your battery will last longer
9. Calibrate your iPhone battery. To do this, discharge the battery from 100% to 0% at least once a month. This will ensure that you don't experience sudden drops in battery life over time
