The civil war in ND reached a top level today. Vangelis Meimarakis leveled his criticism at Antonis Samaras, who responded with harshness and heavy insinuations. The reason was the company that failed to hold the internal party elections to elect a new president.
After a day of silence following the election fiasco, Vangelis Meimarakis seemed willing to resign as interim president, in order to facilitate the election process, and asked Apostolos Tzitzikostas to resign as regional governor and his other two co-candidates to resign as parliamentary representatives.
However, in a particularly intense tone, he publicly opened a front with former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, leaving sharp hints about his involvement in the issue of the company that failed to hold the internal party election of a new president.
