“We want you to feel confident transitioning from the Mac to the Surface Book,” the company says to anyone who uses an Apple laptop.
The Surface Book is Microsoft's answer to the MacBook , and on October 6, when the company finally unveiled the device, it described it as a replacement for those looking to switch from Apple.
And to ensure that everyone is aware that its new model is the perfect alternative to the Apple MacBook, Microsoft has created a site that provides information not only about the device itself, but also about Windows 10 and how the transition can be carried out smoothly.
“Whether you’re thinking about getting a Surface Book or have already purchased one, we want to thank you! We designed our new laptop to be the ultimate laptop and make you more productive in every aspect of digital work and life. We’re really happy you’re here, and we’re excited to see what you’ll do with your new Surface Book,” says the message that welcomes users when the website loads.
Microsoft claims that it is twice as fast as the MacBook Pro and that the internal report, which is not currently available to the public, is assumed to confirm it.
reports, however, say the opposite and indicate that the new laptop is not necessarily faster than the MacBook Pro, but confirm that its GPU helps a lot, especially when playing games.
In a statement sent to us by a company representative, Microsoft says that in its internal benchmarks, it was tested with the top models from each series, so the results may be slightly different.
“Our validated performance claims are for the Microsoft Surface Book with Intel Core i7 processors with 16GB of RAM and a discrete Nvidia GeForce GPU versus the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display with processors and 16GB of RAM. We used third-party reports to test the best available Surface Book against the best available 13-inch MacBook Pro,” the spokesperson told us.
Other details are not available at this moment, but they will appear soon, as the laptop has started to circulate for those who have pre-ordered it.
