Apple: Fixes MacBook Pro storage system error

MacBook

Apple issued an announcement yesterday warning MacBook Pro laptop owners - specifically the latest model - about a problem found in the portable devices, which can cause damage to computer data.

The technology giant released a firmware update for the devices a few days ago that addresses a different error in the laptop's storage system.

As the British network BBC reports in its publication, citing the relevant announcement, data corruption has been detected in "rare cases" on the 15-inch model from 2015. The announcement of this particular problem comes as thousands of Macbook owners are complaining strongly about spots appearing on the computers' Retina display, which gradually spread across its entire surface. Users facing this particular issue are expressing their concerns about the high cost of correcting the problem, which is likely to occur after the device's warranty has expired.

"This is not a large-scale recall of a product, like a car model with faulty brakes," Stuart Miles, founder of technology website Pocket-lint, told the BBC, trying to calm users' concerns.
