In particular, smartphones with large screens began to become very popular in 2014, with their demand increasing from 32% to 47%. “Smartphones” with a screen of 5 inches and larger made up 70% of the total market in the first quarter of the year in North America, while in China they represented 57%. According to data from GfK , devices with integrated 4G functionality seem to be particularly popular with the general public, which even made up 50% of the global market during the first three months of 2015. As analysts estimate, the share of 4G technology is expected to increase further over the year, and is estimated to reach at least 59%.
