Cybersecurity.gr suggests:
- Use different passwords for each account. This way, if your Facebook account is compromised, for example, the "intruder" will not be able to use the same password to compromise your other accounts.
- Use complex passwords. Include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Never use your name or date of birth as a password.
- Use at least 10 characters. The longer your password, the harder it will be for someone to guess it.
Finally, to be able to regain control of your account in the event of a breach, take some time to check your account settings:
- Set security questions and answers,
- Set an alternative email address or mobile phone number, and finally,
- Enable two-factor authentication, using a second temporary security code, where offered.
