Google collaborates with the popular Shazam app
Google users can now request from the… mobile phones and tablets to recognize unknown songs they hear on the radio or in advertisements, without even needing to touch their «smart» devices.
The tech giant is partnering with popular music search app ShαΖαm to enable voice commands on all Android devices.
Now, as reported by MailOnline, when users give the voice command «OK Google, ShαΖam this» the app will automatically open and «listen» the track, before adding it to a playlist for you to listen later.
The service also works with the following commands: «recognize» (recognize) or «name a song /track /tune» (find the name from a song/track/melody).
In addition, users will be able to use other features , such as access to song lyrics and music videos.
The voice activation of ShαΖαm by Google is the latest addition in a series of changes promoted by the company, such as the «Now cards» in Google's app and Google Play.
