Microsoft announced a new concept called Hosted Web Apps. The Hosted Web Apps concept is for Windows 10 and allows developers to easily turn websites into apps.
Hosted Web Apps allow websites to access universal APIs, such as notifications, camera, contacts, and calendar. Additionally, you can integrate Cortana into Hosted Web Apps.
Hosted Web Apps can be a particularly useful tool for anyone who has made an investment in the Internet. More is expected to be announced at the Build developer conference in April.
