At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, several very interesting devices were presented. The surprise was a small robot running Ubuntu. Its name is QBO.
Linux friends had the opportunity to see up close the first phone Edition Meizu MX4 Ubuntu. What they didn't expect was the small robot.
The QBO has been built by a company called Thecorpora that specializes in robotics. It is not developed to perform a specific task at home, but to be a companion of its owner. Thus the device has an advanced AI (Artificial intelligence) or artificial intelligence.
It uses the Ubuntu operating system and is capable of many things. It has stereoscopic vision, voice recognition system, speech synthesis system, an API & Web control panel, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth connections, and it can navigate with the help of ultrasonic sensors.
Unfortunately, the project seems to be developing for a long period without finishing.
