The Galaxy S6 is a more modern device, and may look more like the iPhone, but it's debatable whether it's a better device compared to the Galaxy S5.

To be fair, the new device does come with a lot of extras, but: There's no doubt that Samsung's Galaxy S is one of the best Android devices available, with the Galaxy S5 being the penultimate flagship in the series. Looking at the latest Samsung Galaxy S6, it feels like the company has messed up a very good recipe in order to compete with Apple's iPhone.
The Galaxy S6 may be the modern device, but it's debatable whether it has a better design.
Let's take a look at what you'll lose if you switch from the Galaxy S5 to the Galaxy S6.
Replacing plastic with glass
Put an iPhone 6 upside down next to a Galaxy S5 and you'll see. One is thin, sleek, shiny, and fragile, while the other is bulky, plastic, rather utilitarian, and powerful.
Now do the same, but this time replace your Galaxy S5 with the new Galaxy S6. Now both devices are slim, sleek, shiny, beautiful, and very fragile.
Let's remember that Gorilla Glass is strong, but glass is glass.
Storage expansion is no longer possible
If you're used to the internal storage on your Galaxy S along with a spare microSD card then the news is bad as you already know. There's no microSD card slot on the Galaxy S6, while the Galaxy S5 could microSD up to 128GB.
There is no more waterproofing
Of course, you couldn't go diving with the Galaxy S5, but the device offered a level of waterproofing that most smartphones are unable to offer.
No more removable battery
Few people carry a spare battery with them, but the option of a removable battery was nice, especially if the device gets old and starts to have problems. It could have been much quicker and much easier (not to mention cheaper) to change a battery than to replace the entire device.
