11 demo songs were leaked on different websites, sparking a reaction from the singer, who posted a photo of a broken iPod on social media , stating that it represented her broken heart.
Police seized several digital media containing stolen data from the home of the suspect, a 38-year-old man from Tel Aviv, many of which are believed to have been stolen by various con artists. The ultimate goal was financial in nature, as the hacker planned to sell the stolen data.
According to Madonna's lawyer in Israel, Tamir Afori, the data taken from her includes unreleased songs and photos, related to the album that is set to be released very soon.
The investigation is ongoing and the equipment and computers seized from the suspect's home are in laboratories for further examination.
According to the country's authorities and the FBI, the hacker managed to gain access to the singer's personal computer and stole the information and data he wanted, without any disturbance.
It seems Madonna wasn't the only artist whose work was stolen by the hacker. While no other artists' names have been released, reports suggest the seized computers are filled with data from several internationally renowned artists.
