Execution of an Arrest Warrant for Child Pornography
-The perpetrator falsely promised a successful career in modeling, with the aim of sexually exploiting underage girls
-After photographing and videotaping the underage girls, he made the pornographic material available on a specific website, for a fee
-It is estimated that, from his criminal activity, he obtained a financial benefit amounting to (2,700,000) euros
A 51-year-old Greek national was located and arrested by police officers of the Ampelokipi Security Department in the morning hours of 04-12-2014, in the Ampelokipi area, against whom an Arrest Warrant was pending from the 7th Investigative Department of Thessaloniki, for "Professional and habitual pornography of minors".
This was preceded by the identification of the perpetrator and the formation of a case file by police officers of the Anti-Human Trafficking Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate (see the Press Release of 12-10-2013) according to which from the end of May to the end of July 2013, the then 50-year-old man, using fraudulent means and false information, recorded videos of pornographic content, in a specially designed space in his apartment, in the Ampelokipi area.
Specifically, the perpetrator, pretending to be the owner of a modeling agency, promised underage girls professional advancement in the modeling field, while falsely presenting strong financial incentives, convinced them to be photographed and participate in pornographic videos. He then made this material available on an online pornographic magazine (website), in exchange for a fee.
In fact, from the ongoing police investigation, it was determined that the arrested person, during the decade 2003-2013, obtained from the production-publication of pornographic material and managed sums of money totaling (2,700,000).
The arrested person was taken to the Prosecutor of the Minor Offences Courts of Thessaloniki.
