Anonymous Australia's and the American racist organization Ku Klux Klan are now in an open (online) "war" , following the former's "attack" on the latter's Twitter. account
It all started after the Ku Klux Klan's threatening tweets against the citizens of Ferguson, who were demonstrating a few days ago, protesting the court decision regarding the murder of 18-year-old African-American Michael Brown by a police officer last summer.
Anonymous took action and hacked the organization's Twitter.
Through the hashtag #OpKKK, the group of hackers participating in the operation against the Ku Klux Klan responded by warning:
"This is a direct message to you KKK (Ku Klux Klan). You messed with us, now it's our turn to mess with you."
The KKK responded with new threats: “We will wait for you. Our community is not at all afraid of Anonymous’ threats. Try us. You will regret it (…) We continue to read Anonymous’ threats, having fun. Still nothing has happened.”.
On Sunday, Anonymous managed to hack the Ku Klux Klan account and posted on its account:
"You should have been waiting for us. Operation #OpKKK continues successfully. Freedom will prevail.".
Then, they wrote on theirs: "We have the KKK account under control. We told you we would fight back."
Furthermore, they pointed out that the account was indeed managed by a member of the racist organization and announced that their next statement on the KKK account would be uploaded on Tuesday at 03:00.
