The popular social network Twitter has decided to "open" its archive to the public and allow users of its services to search for all "tweets" that have been made since 2006.

"Our goal is to allow people to search for every post on Twitter," the announcement concluded.
Twitter search will allow users to gather valuable information from other users about major events like the Japanese earthquake or the Scottish.
