Usually, smartphone cases are about protecting or beautifying the device and rarely offer an extra battery. However, the case that Prynt is preparing completely deviates from the norm, since it transforms the smartphone into a kind of Polaroid camera (it holds 10-30 sheets of photo paper) with Augmented Reality technology that turns photo shots into mini videos .
After placing the smartphone in the case, if we hold it horizontally we will have a handle and a shutter button on the right hand. Once the photo is taken, we will be able to send it to the homonymous application and print it directly from the case. According to the company, the process will be completed in just 30 seconds.
The second feature adds Augmented Reality technology . If we take a photo through the Prynt app, the device's camera will automatically capture a mini video. Then, if we turn the case over the printed photo, we will be able to watch this video.
The company will seek funding from the public through the Kickstarter in early 2015 and is considering a selling price of $99.
