The new version of Skype for Windows computers has been officially announced and is no longer in beta.
Microsoft has already previewed the new version for Windows and Mac OS X, showing off a completely new user interface, similar to what we see in the mobile and tablet versions. It follows Microsoft's new design philosophy, although it may be reminiscent of the old MSN in some ways.
Finally Microsofthas officially announced the availability of the new version of Skype, which will offer the user an easier way to chat, share and view photos. Users can also send messages and watch videos side by side. Video calls with multiple people are now free.
Some bugs that were reported in the beta version, such as the Facebook one, are now fixed and users can download the new Skype version.
