Apple announced Saturday night that it has introduced a new type of SIM card that supports multiple carriers..
The news was first reported by the website recode.net and according to it, when the adaptation process is completed and the new card becomes accessible to the average user, this will change mobile telephony connections as we have known them until today.
The new Apple SIM integrated into the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 with the ability to connect to 3G networks allows owners of the new devices to connect to any provider they wish (currently with those that support the new technology, in the US and UK) and enjoy connection with multiple LTE data supply contracts (Long-Term Evolution Data, i.e. data with long-term fidelity for connections from 4G and above), of short duration, without changing SIM cards.
At the end of the integration of the new technology into iPhones, the choice of mobile provider will be made directly from the device, without the use of different SIM cards.
