Another batch of freshmen are starting their registrations today at the Universities and Technical Educational Institutions to which they managed to gain admission after the arduous process of the Panhellenic Examinations. The student journey is just beginning!
A companion on this journey is the internet and of course Social Media, with students choosing Facebook as the most suitable Social Network for their communication. The official site of each school is good, where there is a lot of important information that students should know throughout their studies, but Facebook is used for everything else!
Don't wait any longer, start from the moment you read this text and search on Facebook for pages and (mainly) groups for your University/TEI and your department. This means that you will need to search both in Greeklishand Greek. For example, students of the TEI of Athens should search for groups and pages named "tei athinas" and "tei athinas". The same goes for the name of the department.
You can't imagine how much you will gain from this experience. You will learn from other students' questions, you will discuss all the news of your school, about professors, about previous exam topics, about notes, you will meet students from your semester and older (or younger), you will have fun with memes, you will be informed about conferences, and much more.
If you want my advice, choose to receive notifications for every new post. It may sound annoying, especially when every student is writing their long and short stories in the group, but you will learn a lot about your studies and this will help you on your journey towards your degree!
