Believe it or not, there is a mathematically correct way to place your router. Physicist Jason Cole set out to find the right place for his own device in his apartment with mathematical precision.
First, writes thedailydot, he began the process of mapping the floor plan of the house, with refraction on the walls, and then, he applied the Helmholtz equations to visualize the electromagnetic waves emitted by the router.
After all the above procedures, Cole realized that the best location for optimized Wi-Fi signal reception is the center of the house, as it was naturally shaped by his "experiments".
