Hamas managed to gain control of an Israeli satellite channel for just a few minutes last Monday, broadcasting images of wounded Gazans .
Viewers tuned to Israeli Channel 10 reported seeing images of people injured in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.
These images were accompanied by a pledge of retaliation against Palestinian militants: “Your government chose to launch this campaign. Since your government does not agree to our terms, prepare for a long stay in shelters.”
Israeli authorities said Hamas managed to seize a satellite feed that carried Channel 10. The terrestrial transmission was not affected, so viewers watching the channel using digital converter boxes did not see the messages, according to media reports.
