phpMyAdmin, the popular tool for managing MySQL databases and written in PHP, has been upgraded and is now available in version 4.2.2.
The new version brings significant improvements, as well as fixes for several bugs that seem to have escaped the developers until now.
According to the official changelog, database expansion no longer leads to Error 500 (when the user clicks on the database name in the navigation tree), the table display of the performance_schema DB structure, as well as binary columns, now work correctly, while the BLOB link transformation has been fixed.
Additionally, ShowCreateDb now works correctly with the navigation panel, databases no longer appear in the navigation panel when the database extension is disabled, the calendar now appears in the search tab, primary key attributesare no longer lost when copying databases, and maxInputVars are now empty in the js/messages.php file.
