A popular Dogecoin electronic wallet service, DogeVault appears to be the victim of a hacking attack by cybercriminals, with millions of Dogecoins missing from users' wallets.
A note on the website's homepage (www.dogevault.com) says that the DogeVault service was compromised by attackers on May 11, resulting in an outage and tampering with electronic wallets.
The website hasn't given much information about how much was stolen, however, some users on Reddit reported that coins have been transferred to a newly created electronic "wallet" service.
According to Dogechain records, the wallet (DHKM6NDUUv9kaHAGi1QU7MRBNKfQiAdP3F) has over 121 million Dogecoins which is about $56,000 USD.
DogeVault recommends that users not transfer funds to DogeVault addresses until the investigation is complete.
