New electronic circuits recyclable

electWith the rapid increase in the production of increasingly better and higher quality devices (mobile phones, computers), most people are throwing away their old device and buying a new and better one.

The big headache for companies is recycling devices and reusing some components.

Most electronic circuit boards found in cell phones, laptops, and computers are made of fiberglass with epoxy resin and a lot of tin, which is an alloy of tin, while in the past, small amounts of lead, which is a toxic metal, were also used.

Three British companies, through the ReUse project, managed to create integrated circuits from which the capacitors, resistors, and the now "clean" board can be removed and used in the future.

Through the ReUse project, they essentially replaced the tin used to solder these components with a thermoplastic substrate, where when it comes into contact with hot water, capacitors, resistors, and other components are easily removed and ready to be used in other devices as spare parts.
