Google released a new report , revealing how many requests it received from government agencies around the world to disclose data about users.
According to the report, US authorities submitted the largest percentage of requests (21,492 requests) during 2013, while Google approved 83 percent of them.
India came in second, with 5,204 requests submitted, with Google responding to only 65 percent of them. Germany came in third, with 4,971 requests, with the company returning data for less than half of them.
France follows in fourth place with 4,761 data requests, while the United Kingdom came in fifth place with 2,641 requests.
Brazil, Italy, Australia, Spain and Poland complete the top ten countries with the most requests for disclosure of data about Google users.
