Many users report experiencing problems with Wifi on their iOS devices, especially after upgrading to the latest version of Apple's operating system.
The company explains that “in rare cases, the Wi-Fi enable setting on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch may appear disabled or unavailable (in Settings -> Wi-Fi).”
“If this happens, you won’t be able to turn on Wi-Fi, and when you try to turn on Wi-Fi, your device won’t respond. If you’re using iOS 7, Wi-Fi may appear to be on or off in Control Center, but it won’t actually respond.”
Don't rush to send your device in for service, as fixing the issue may be fairly simple. Apple suggests following these steps to resolve the issue:
1)Restart your iOS device.
2) Make sure airplane mode is turned off by selecting Settings > Airplane Mode.
3)Reset network settings by selecting Settings > General > Reset > Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, and VPN and APN settings.
4) Make sure your device is running the latest software. To make sure, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
