The Build 2014 is coming up, and Microsoft announced today that the event will be live-streamed.

“For those who don’t know Build, it’s the big event where Microsoft celebrates with developers from around the world. It’s an event where you can learn what’s new in Windows, Windows Phone, Azure, and other technologies. By attending the sessions, you can develop your skills and improve as a developer,” Microsoft said in a brief statement released today.
Microsoft is expected to unveil Windows 8.1 Update 1 at the BUILD developer conference , which according to rumors and leaks will tweak the existing 8.1 to make it more suitable for desktops. The major Windows 8.1 update will be unveiled at the BUILD event , and end users will get it via Windows Update on April 8, when Microsoft releases its scheduled Patch Tuesday.
According to rumors from leaks that have recently surfaced online, Windows 8.1 Update 1 will come with options that will allow users to pin Metro apps to the taskbar and open them in separate windows, which essentially means the operating system will become more user-friendly for those who use a mouse and keyboard instead of touchscreens. As for the much-anticipated Start Button, it is supposed that with the changes that the update will bring, it will not be so necessary.
