This is Shakespearean revenge. When a 24-year-old fell victim to an online shopping scam, he decided to get revenge in the most original way possible. He bombarded the person responsible with more than 29,000 text messages, sending them the entire work of Shakespeare.
Ed Joseph bought a PS3 console through a classifieds website but never received it. Instead of "crying" for the 80 pounds he lost, he decided to get revenge. So he started sending the entire work of Shakespeare to the person who had scammed him.
The 24-year-old didn't get tired at all. He simply did the classic "copy-paste" on his mobile phone - without even being charged. On the contrary, the recipient of the messages is logically at risk of... a nervous breakdown. Joseph sends one SMS for each project, but the recipient will receive 29,305 separate ones in total!
But he's not stopping. The 24-year-old has already sent 22 plays, including "Hamlet," "Othello," and "Macbeth" - which translates to 17,424 messages - and is continuing to complete Shakespeare's work.
"I was really annoyed by his behavior and I was looking for a way to get revenge on him. It was a cliché to look for where he lived. When I thought about bombarding him with messages, I was looking for a really long book and ended up with Macbeth. So that's how I started," the young man said.
Understandably, the scammer recipient became furious and began sending abusive messages to the 24-year-old, and even called him. "I asked him if he liked the works I sent him, but he was really confused.".
