Microsoft has released new updates as part of its established Patch Tuesday, patching a total of 23 security vulnerabilities in Windows, Internet Explorer, and Silverlight .
Two of the updates were rated critical, as they address two significant vulnerabilities that had been identified in Silverlight and Internet Explorer.
As for Silverlight, the update fixes a critical security flaw that could allow hackers to bypass ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomization) protection.
The update for Internet Explorer, on the other hand, fixes a zero-day vulnerability that was discovered in the browser in February, and only affects users using Internet Explorer 10. This vulnerability could allow remote access to any computer, provided the user views a specially crafted web page in the browser.
Finally, Microsoft also released an update for Adobe Flash Player, fixing a vulnerability that could be used to compromise a computer and access any user's data.
All security updates are distributed through Windows Update.
