The official ceremony of our country's accession to the Organization will take place on March 13
Talks between GRECA (Greek eCommerce Association) and eCommerce Europe began in early 2013 and today the two bodies announced their agreement in Brussels.
As reported by the Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with its accession to eCommerce Europe, Greece, through GRECA, will now be at the center of European developments in the e-commerce sector, which in our country exceeded 3 billion euros in turnover in 2013. The remaining 11 European countries that make up the Organization are: Austria, Belgium, France, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland and Finland.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of eCommerce Europe, François Momboisse, added that "we enthusiastically welcomed Greece to the bosom of eCommerce Europe. When we saw that the e-commerce sector in Greece was growing at one of the fastest rates in all of Europe, defying the crisis in your economy, we understood the potential you have as a country. The growth you have had in the last 3 years is impressive, we hope that you will continue at the same pace and with greater extroversion in the coming years.".
