The Linux community is preparing to welcome many refugees, former owners of devices with Windows XP, after the official support for the operating system was discontinued by Microsoft in April.
Tech Pro Research , a research firm that provides data on industry trends and adoption rates, such as financial information, has published a very interesting study that reveals the intentions of Windows XP users after Microsoft ends support for it.
As expected, a large number of users said they would have to switch to another Windows, but there is also a large percentage, 11% to be more precise, who said they intend to adopt a Linux.
The percentage may not seem large, but if we consider the population that uses Windows XP, from individuals to companies, we could see a significant increase in the market share of Linux next year.
