The iPhone Air 2 is rumored to last longer than the original model, thanks to a much larger battery, correcting one of the biggest flaws of the ultra-thin smartphone. The current iPhone Air was a compromise device, with its thin frame made possible by some downsizing choices in its specifications. For the second-generation model, Apple seems to be looking to correct one of its perceived weaknesses.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo on July 7, citing the supply chain, the iPhone Air 2 will feature a battery with a capacity of around 3,500mAh.
This means that the device will be able to offer up to 30 hours of use on a single charge, which will be a significant improvement over the previous model.
The longer battery life is expected to enhance the user experience, allowing users to enjoy the features of the iPhone Air 2 without worrying about frequent charging. Apple has been criticized in the past for the autonomy of its devices, and this change shows that the company is listening to the needs of its users. The increase in battery capacity is not the only upgrade expected in the iPhone Air 2.
Rumors suggest that the device will also feature an improved display, better cameras, and a more powerful processor, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
Battery technology has advanced significantly in recent years, and Apple seems to be taking advantage of these developments to improve its devices. The 3,500mAh capacity is a significant upgrade over the previous model, which had a smaller battery that couldn't support the increased demands of modern apps and functions. A larger battery not only means longer battery life, but also better performance in demanding applications, such as games or augmented reality applications.

Although this information comes from unofficial sources, history has shown that leaks from the supply chain often turn out to be accurate. Users and analysts are eagerly awaiting the official announcement from Apple, which will likely happen later this year. Adding a larger battery to the iPhone Air 2 could positively affect the device's sales, as battery life is one of the key factors influencing the decision to purchase a smartphone.
With the growing demand for devices with longer battery life, Apple seems to be on the right track to meet consumer expectations.
In addition to the battery, improvements to the display and cameras are expected to offer a more complete user experience. The improved display could mean better resolution and brightness, making it ideal for viewing high-resolution content. The cameras, on the other hand, could offer better image and video quality, which is especially important for users who rely on their smartphone for photos and videos.
The iPhone Air 2's processor is also expected to be more powerful, offering better performance and faster data processing. This is especially important for users who use their smartphone for demanding applications or for multitasking at the same time. The improved performance could make the device more attractive to professionals and users looking for a powerful tool for their daily work.
