Apple today released new software for the iPhone Air. The new software version is 8B25, up from 8A351. In the Settings, the new software is listed as 99.0, up from 91.0.

This is the second software update Apple has provided to iPhone Air users since the battery was released in September. Apple hasn't provided details on what the software updates for the accessories include, but the new software likely offers performance and efficiency improvements.
Software updates for accessories are done silently, without the user's knowledge, so Apple doesn't offer installation instructions. The MagSafe battery's software should update when the battery is connected to the iPhone Air, but you can also force an update by connecting the battery to a Mac.
You can check the software version number of your MagSafe battery by connecting it to your iPhone Air and then going to Settings > General > About > iPhone Air MagSafe Battery.
