Research by Cornell University has identified the times when social media users are most likely to write something on Facebook or tweet something that will be... successful.
According to a study published in the journal "Science", as noted by Onmed.gr, if someone writes a status on Facebook or a tweet on Twitter between 8 and 9 in the morning, it is most likely that it will be an optimistic, happy message. This is not the case on weekdays. Because on weekends the happiest messages are written between 10 and 11.5 in the morning.
The research also revealed that the most successful posts, i.e. those that are posted on the most walls or garner the most retweets, are made between 3 and 5 in the afternoon. In fact, there is an explanation for this. These topics are reproduced more because, quite simply, in general, most people, at these times, are bored of writing something of their own.
The most likes now accrue to posts made after 8 pm, as that's when most people return home to relax, resulting in them being more generous.
On the contrary, posts made between 10 and 11 pm have no luck because they are usually emotionally charged posts that are of no interest to anyone other than the person posting them.
Finally, because everyone is bombarded with emails throughout the day, if you want yours to have a better chance of being read by its recipient, it's a good idea to send it early in the morning.
