Originally released as part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite of applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator, Firefly is now available as a standalone platform accessible from the web or through dedicated apps on iOS and visionOS. Adobe Firefly subscribers can choose from a variety of plans.
Previously, a key differentiator was the number of image creation credits included with each plan, which limited how many creations users could make. Adobe is removing these limits on firefly.adobe.com and Firefly Boards for subscribers who sign up before March 16. Adobe explains that subscribers can now create unlimited creations with industry-leading image models, including Google Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image Generation, Runway Gen-4 Image, and Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly image and video models.

Specifically, if you sign up before March 16, you’ll get unlimited Firefly image and video creations up to 2K resolution in the Adobe Firefly app. This offer is available to customers on Firefly Pro, Firefly Premium, 4,000 credits, 7,000 credits, and 50,000 credits plans. It’s important to note that the offer is only valid for the Adobe Firefly standalone subscription, not Creative Cloud subscriptions.
Adobe reports that 86% of creators now use AI in their daily workflows and in the last year, the length of their prompts has doubled, indicating that creators are integrating AI into their workflows rather than treating it as something superficial.

The company notes that this move aims to help creators stay in the creative flow, allowing them to go through the trial and error process of the creative process without worrying about their image creation credits. With Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year approaching, users will have the opportunity to leverage both Adobe's templates and Firefly's third-party integrations.
