Google is redesigning Docs, Sheets and other tools

Google has begun redesigning many of its tools. The company has focused on Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Apps Script .

According to an announcement, Google hopes to make the creative process and collaboration experience "a little more enjoyable.".

The new tools will feature an icon for each author's product, which will appear in the header. Clicking on it will take users directly back to their files in Drive. The header has also been modernized to be a bit more compact.

Another feature that Google pointed out is that "things will become clearer and more colorful," which is true judging by the way the new tools are presented with the colorful images in the header.
