Utrecht-based Eurail BV has announced that it has suffered a data breach . Customer information is involved in a cybersecurity incident.

According to an official statement, an unauthorized user gained access to customer database . The data that may have been affected includes:
- Identification data: Name, surname, date of birth, gender
- Contact information: Email address, home address, telephone number
- Passport details: Passport number, country of issue and expiry date

The company said that the identification documents of Interrail Pass customers are not copied. Only the data they provide is stored. However, this does not apply to all customers. Eurail warns of consequences of breach
