LG is preparing the groundwork for the launch of its new 2026 Gram Pro laptops, which will be fully revealed at CES . Among them, the company claims is the ' world's lightest 17-inch RTX laptop '. The LG Gram Pro 17 (17Z90UR) and Gram Pro 16 (16Z90U) models will introduce a new ultra-light material called 'Aerominum', which has been developed by the company with the aim of reducing the weight of the laptop, while also enhancing durability and scratch resistance.

The LG Gram Pro 17 will feature a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display, paired with Nvidia's RTX 5050 laptop graphics card, which has just 8GB of VRAM. The company claims it will provide 'plenty of performance for graphics-intensive tasks, content creation, and gaming'. However, it may not be able to run most modern games at maximum settings with satisfactory performance, so it shouldn't be considered a dedicated gaming laptop.
LG has not yet revealed the actual weight of the Gram Pro 17, but notes that it will be exclusively available in the US at launch.

Pricing and release dates for the two laptops have not yet been announced, but LG may be holding that information back until the official unveiling at CES next week.
