Danganronpa Creators , Too Kyo Games , Appear to Be in Debt Due to New Switch Game The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy !
The highly promising The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy was revealed by Too Kyo Games and publisher Aniplex during Nintendo's latest Direct.

The game was born from a collaboration between Danganronpa series writer Kazutaka Kodaka and Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi, and is expected to be released in 2025. However, according to an interview with Famitsu, it appears that the project encountered some difficulties during its development, ultimately putting Too Kyo Games in debt.
Development on the project reportedly began shortly after Too Kyo Games was founded in 2017, but after a publishing deal fell through, radical changes were made to the game. What originally started as an indienow required significantly more investment.

So, before ending up with Aniplex, Too Kyo Games took out a loan to help develop the game, and since Too Kyo's members couldn't raise the necessary capital through the sale of shares, the studio went into debt. Fortunately, Aniplex was willing to work with the team, although Too Kyo Games is reportedly still in debt to this day.

It's a good thing the game looks pretty good. Combining strategic elements RPG with the classic visual novel interactions from the Danganronpa series, we can't wait to learn more as we approach its release in 2025.
