Google released the April 2024 security update for compatible Pixel phones earlier this month, fixing a nagging camera issue on the Pixel 8 in addition to patching a number of security vulnerabilities. A few days after the software update, however, reports began to surface from Pixel owners about network connectivity issues on their phones. Some appear to have been experiencing cellular network issues since the March update. While Google hasn't publicly acknowledged the issue, it has released a revised April build to fix the connectivity issues.
Due to poor cellular connectivity, Pixel users were not receiving calls (or messages), and were going straight to voicemail. The issue appears to affect all recent Pixel models, including the Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 series.

To fix these issues, Google quietly uploaded new factory and OTA images for April 2024 for affected Pixel phones to its developer portal. The company then released an OTA update the next day (April 18) for affected Pixel phones on Verizon’s network. According to the official release notes, the latest build “delivers performance improvements for LTE calls/data and network issues.”
Google has also confirmed that the new OTA update is rolling out to Pixel devices. The new version will be available in more regions and affected carriers in the coming weeks. The company has also sent out emails to some Pixel users to inform them of the new OTA release.

Reports from a Reddit thread suggest that the new version appears to fix connectivity issues, with Pixel owners being able to receive calls and messages without any issues. The OTA update is relatively small, weighing in at less than 7MB.
Google's April 2024 update is only available for the Pixel 7, Pixel 8, and Pixel Fold. So if you're experiencing network issues on your Pixel 6, you'll have to wait longer for a potential fix.
If you've been experiencing cellular network issues on your Pixel since the April (or March) update and the new OTA update hasn't reached your device yet, consider manually installing the latest version. It only takes a few minutes and should fix your connectivity issues for good.
