James Bond's legendary Aston Martins and other high-tech cars and gadgets used by the film character are on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago as part of the " 007 Science: Inventing the World of James Bond " exhibit , the first-of-its-kind exhibition about the science and technology behind the film franchise.
This exhibition allows visitors to see how the production harnessed real-world science to create the adventures of Agent 007 on screen. The museum features the special gadgets created for the James Bond films alongside real-life inventions created in the aftermath.
There is also a laboratory area inspired by “Q” – the source of secret field technologies in the films – and visitors can test their skills in designing a spy vehicle and other gadgets.

Chris Corbould, special effects supervisor, who worked on 15 James Bond films, said: "There have been many James Bond exhibitions, but this is the first where we have looked at Bond's science and how it influenced future inventions and discoveries. Some of these things come out of someone's mind and for us now they are everyday objects."
The exhibition “007 Science: Inventing the World of James Bond” will be available at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago until October 27.The exhibition includes 13 vehicles and over 90 objects from the legendary Bond films.
The creations of the James Bond films were always based on science, according to Kathleen McCarthy, the museum's chief curator. The films often used advanced technologies that were later implemented and used in real life, such as underwater cameras and watches with displays.
Dozens of the actual vehicles used in specific scenes from the films are on display, including the Aston Martin DBS from “Casino Royale” (2006).

“Everything was made not only to tell you how it happened in the movies but also to inspire you to be creative,” McCarthy said of the museum’s James Bond exhibit.
