On January 26, the account of Algorand CEO Warden's X was compromised by hackers.
The hacker shared a post calling the company poor while using a well-known racial slur, suggesting that someone else is in control of the account. After that, the hacker urged the community to sell Algorand.
Following the publication, the hacker shared a satirical story about how Tron founder Justin Sun could push Algorand to “new heights.” According to the hacker, all they had to do was give Sun “total control” of Algorand and allow him to fork any token back to True USD (TUSD).

The hacker stated:
“Of course, I accepted this proposal immediately. Soon, Algorand will be linked to the real US dollar (USD) and a new era of digital commerce will begin.”
In addition to these, the hacker posted music on the account and changed the bio on Warden’s profile, claiming that the CEO removed six people from the community and made them believe it was a hacking attack. The hacker also changed Warden’s bio to write that he had already left the Algorand Foundation and is now a “semi-professional pole dancer.”
Some community members, amused by the hacker’s antics, responded to the post about Sun. One X user said Algorand should hire the hacker, while another suggested letting him “keep the account.”.
During this time, other community members have dismissed Warden. Crypto ZachXBT said that the hacker could be “the best manager” for the Algorand Foundation.

Another X user reported that Warden qualified for an internship position at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, where X was hacked on January 9th.
