The codename “Phoenix 2” suggests their uniqueness. The Ryzen 5 7545U is the fully enabled version, while the Ryzen 3 7440U is a more limited version. These processors combine a diverse design, similar to what Intel in some of its offerings.
AMD is focusing on the Ryzen 7040U series of processors, which combine Zen 4 CPUs with “Zen 4c” cores to save space. These two types of cores have similar architectures, but different speeds. Their innovative design allows AMD to offer options for various markets, including laptops. This strategy could change the way AMD delivers processors to various devices, offering smaller and more affordable chips that remain efficient.

AMD's Zen 4c processor represents a technological feat that allows for the introduction of more affordable laptop processors with high core counts. Despite the increased performance and excellent features of the processor, AMD faces a problem, as the numbering system requires a decoder and there is no specific code for indicating "contains a mix of high- and low- performance".
