Interactive Widgets are now available on the iPhone on the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and the new Standby view. Apple provided some examples of how they can be used (e.g. marking a reminder as completed, playing or pausing a song or podcast etc.).

Swipe to reply in iMessage
In the Messages app, users will be able to swipe right on any message to send an inline reply.
Improved Autocorrect
Apple says iOS 17 includes a state-of-the-art language model for word prediction. This will significantly improve autocorrect on the iPhone. As you type, machine learning will intelligently correct mistakes. Additionally, users will now get text suggestions as they type, allowing them to add words or entire sentences by pressing the spacebar.
